Nature and Weather
Madonna di Campiglio is placed at 1550 m of altitude, just between splendid mountain chains: the "Dolomiti di Brenta" consisting of dolomite rock and "Adamello and Presanella" which are granite mountains. 400 Km of alpine tracks are available on both sides, with excursions of various levels of difficulty. The whole resort is inside a national natural park. More information you can find in the web sites: http://www.campiglio.com/http://www.funiviepinzolo.it
About the weather it is typical of the alpine mountains, quite warm during the day (20-25 C),  and relatively cooler during the evening (15-17 C). Variations are possible as usually at  this altitude (if you want to check some weather website before departure (e.g., http://www.campiglio.to/ing/pagine_campiglio/home.html).
Sweaters, boots  or walking shoes and a backpack are suggested.

Social events
Tuesday July 15, after dinner a local alpine guide will give us a general picture of the surrounding mountains with movies showing sights, tracks and important climbs both on
dolomite and granite rock, requiring different styles.
Thursday July 17 is devoted mostly to excursions.
